In Bathukamma, flowers are gathered and arranged into a living centerpiece around which people come together. The flowers are not simply decoration around the celebration. They help create the place of gathering itself. Hands collect. Hands arrange. People arrive. Voices join. What begins as flowers becomes something shared. Here, sacred space is not contained inside a room. It appears through the act of gathering around something made together.
Sometimes community is not gathered into a sacred space. Sometimes gathering together is what creates the sacred space.
And sometimes the circle does more than gather people. It begins to move.
