Journey 1 · Look Up · Sacred Time . Scene 2
Moon Rhythm
Before calendars livedon our walls, time livedin the sky.
People watched the Moon carefully.
It did not look the same every night.
Sometimes it disappeared into darkness.
Then a thin curve of light appeared.
Night after night, the light grew.
Then it became full.
And slowly, it began to fade again.
This repeating rhythm became one of the ways
sacred time was understood.
Navaratri belongs to this world
of lunar time.
The Moon changes. And in that change, we learn to count time.
