Night Nine of Nine
SIDDHIDATRI
Are We Finished?
Nine nights can make an ending feel very close.
We count the nights. We reach the ninth.
And almost without noticing, another question appears: What did all of this lead to?
Veda:"Nine!"
She looked again, just to make sure.
Then she turned to Ammomma.
Veda:"Ammomma… are we finished now?"
Golu Girl looked up too.
Ammomma paused.
Ammomma:"Finished with what?"
A festival can reach its final night. A story can reach its last chapter. But that does not necessarily mean everything inside us has reached an ending too.
Tonight, before we meet the ninth Devi, we begin with that difference.
Does reaching the end mean we are finished?

Sometimes we expect the end of a journey to give us a clear result: I learned it. I changed. I arrived. Night 9 begins by asking us not to decide that too quickly.
When something ends, do you immediately look for what you achieved?
