GoluGirl - A world of stories, memory & wonder
People teaching and passing traditional knowledge to the next generation

JOURNEY 3 · LOOK-AROUND · CELEBRATE · SCENE 2

Who Teaches the Next Hand?

Veda:

“Akka… how does everyone know what to do?”

Akka:

“Because someone showed them.”

Akka:

“And one day, they may show someone else.”

Some traditions are taught with words.

Others are learned by standing nearby and helping.

A child watches flowers being strung.

Someone learns how dolls are arranged.

A younger hand follows an older one while lamps are cleaned, food is prepared, songs are remembered, decorations are made, or small sacred worlds are built.

At first, someone watches.

Then they help.

Then they remember.

Eventually, they may become the person showing someone else.

Tradition moves forward when knowledge changes hands.

GG Lens

Inherited knowledge becomes living tradition when we practice it, carry it, and pass it on.

But carrying a tradition forward does not mean everyone has to do the same thing.
