NIGHT SEVEN · KALARATRI · RETURN
I Can Look Again.
They return to where the night began.
Kalaratri has not changed. Her form is still dark. Still fierce. Still difficult for Veda to read.
But Veda looks again.
Veda:
She still looks scary to me.
Ammomma:
I know.
Veda:
But I can look again.
Akka:
And maybe notice something we missed.
Ammomma:
That is enough for tonight.
Understanding does not always make something easy.
Sometimes it gives us something quieter: a little more context, a little more patience, and another question worth carrying.
We do not have to rush from discomfort to certainty.
Sometimes learning begins simply because we are willing to look again.
You do not have to erase uncertainty to keep learning.

Understanding can change the way we look, even when it does not change everything we feel.
What might you notice if you looked again before deciding you already understood?
