LOOK WHERE THE STRENGTH GOES

Katyayani

The sword still catches Veda’s eye. But this time, Ammomma asks them to look more carefully. Not at how sharp it is. At what it does. A sword does not scatter in every direction. It has an edge. It has a line. It points somewhere.

Ammomma:

What do you notice about the sword?

Veda:

It is shiny.

Akka:

And sharp.

Ammomma smiles.

Ammomma:

Anything else?

Veda tilts her head.

Veda:

It points somewhere.

Akka looks again.

Akka:

So the strength has a direction.

Ammomma:

Yes.

Katyayani’s sword is called Chandrahāsa. Its name is associated with the crescent moon. But tonight, we are not only looking at the sword as a weapon. We are looking at what its form teaches us: strength can become focused. When energy is scattered, it pulls us in many directions. When it is directed, it can move clearly toward what matters.

Strength becomes clearer when it has a direction.

Sometimes we think being powerful means doing more. Katyayani offers another possibility: focus the strength you already have.

Where is your energy going right now?
